To Boil rice
Preparation:
- Place the rice into a pan then cover, excessively, with boiling water. Remember that the water will evaporate whilst boiling, don't let it go dry!
- Simmer for between 15 & 20 minutes
- Taste a few grains as it's cooking, to see when it's cooked
- Remove from water & run under cold tap for a few seconds in sieve
- Add required seasoning, usually cruet, &∕or whatever else you fancy!
- Serve & enjoy
By the way, I usually add salt when I have added the water to the pan.
